Nigerian singer and songwriter Reekado Banks has released a new single in remembrance of the infamous Lekki Toll Gate massacre victims.

The new single titled ‘Ozumba Mbadiwe’ was released on October 20, 2021, a day that several youths who were participating in the #EndSars protests were reportedly shot at point-blank by individuals alleged to be the Nigerian army.

In the song’s lyrics, Reekado Banks notes that Nigerians will never forget what happened at the Lekki Tol Gate.

“And if you think say you be giant you be giant for your pocket If you only fight for your pocket For your pocket October 20 2020 Something happen with the government They think say we go forget For where For ozumba mbadiwe,” read part of the lyrics.

Produced by certified hit maker P.Prime, the new single from Reekado Banks is an impressive one, and also serves as the first from Reekado Banks this 2021.
