Sinach holds the record of the first singer-songwriter to top the Billboard Christian Songwriter chart for 12 weeks in a row with her song ‘Way Maker which also bagged three nominations and won the Song of the Year at the 51st GMA Dove Awards, making her the first Nigerian to win the Award.

Visuals for Way Maker is currently the second most-watched Nigerian music video on YouTube. In March 2019, it became the third Nigerian video to garner 100 million views on YouTube behind Davido's ‘Fall’ and Yemi Alade's ‘Johnny’.

Other key awards that Sinach has won include LIMA Songwriter of the Decade Award in 2016, African Achievers' Award for Global Excellence (2016), African Achievers' Award for Global Excellence (2016). She was also named among Africa's Most Influential Women in 2020.

Mercy Chinwo on the other hand won the Nigerian Idol in 2012, was awarded the Best Gospel Artiste at the CLIMAX Awards 2018, bagged the awards at the maiden edition of the Africa Gospel Awards Festival (AGAFEST 2019): Africa Gospel New Artiste of the Year, Africa Gospel Female Artiste of the Year and Africa Gospel Song of the Year (Excess Love) as well as emerging the Gospel Artiste of the year at the AFRIMMA Awards 2020.

For Sinach, she has a rich discography that boasts of 12 studio albums – the latest one being ‘Greatest Lord’ which she released in 2021. Sinach released her debut album ‘Chapter One’ in 2007.
