A few days ago, Vampino posted photos at the airport on his way to Jamaica for a music trip. Few hours later, he updated his socials crying out for help, noting that he had been arrested and detained at Montego Bay.

Upon his release Vampino thanked Bobi Wine, his wife and manager for being patriotic and concerned about his situation.

According to him, he was arrested while on his way back to Africa. He claimed that since Jamica has no direct flights to Africa, he was thrown to jail instead of a hotel.

“H.E Bobi Wine thanks a lot brother. You’re indeed a people person. You took time to find out where I am. Guys I reached a point where I lost hope in a room of seven guys with piss and sh*t next to where I put my head. Nobody knew then what’s happening and they took all my belongings.

"…The reason I was put there is because they had no direct flight to Africa so they threw me in jail instead of a hotel. God…I love you all and am safe. Good I had finished what took me out there," Vampino shared.
