Discipline is Key to a Successful Music Career, Vampino Advises Young Artists

Ugandan dancehall artist Vampino (formerly known as Vamposs) has encouraged young artists to be on their best behavior as it is the key to succeeding in the music industry.

As an artist who has survived in the competitive Ugandan music scene for close to 20 years, he believes that discipline is the only way an artist can build his brand.

"Be disciplined and try to listen to anybody that you feel has anything you need from you. You don't have to weigh talents because it is supposed to be put on stage during competitions. But on the side, deal with each other as artists and learn from other artists to grow but being selfish breads indiscipline forcing artists to disrespect each other," Vampino told Galaxy FM TV.

Regarding existing beefs in the music industry, Vampino noted that competitive rivalry is okay, adding that when it gets to a personal level, respect is paramount.

Vampino has had a successful music career with hit singles like; Kwekunyakunya ft. Juliana Kanyomozi, Tell It ft. Radio and Weasel and Smart Wire among others.
