Ugandan vocalist Bruno K has encouraged top artists in the music industry to always support and help promote the collaborations they do with upcoming musicians.

Most well established Ugandan artists always request for a huge sum of money to feature in collabos, only for them to go missing when the song is out and needs promotion.

According to Bruno K, established artists have this believe that collaborations are only beneficial to young artists, but when the song finally blows up, they want to take the credit.

"Musicians should stop looking at collaborations as benefiting the other rising artists. If we have done a song together, we should both promote it because if it works out, we both benefit," Bruno K told T-Nation.

Bruno K’s remark comes a few weeks after Ugandan dancehall artist Cindy Sanyu made the same remarks.

According to Cindy Sanyu, once artists have decided to do a collaboration, they should give it their all and go through all the processes together.

She further noted that for her, she charges a standard price of UGX 5 million for a collaboration.

Cindy justified the amount noting that collaborations are tasking as you have to help promote the song once it is out.

"We sit and discuss because after the song you have to help the other artist to promote the song. The journey is long that is why we charge that,” she opined.
