For the second half of 2021, Macky 2 is all about leaving a positive legacy and this time around, he has released a reflective song dubbed ‘Voices in My Head’.

It is deep, poetic and challenges one’s inner demons. Macky 2 says he is not bothered at all by talks by the public. What keep him on toes are the voices in his head. They are his guide and the biggest critics he faces on a daily basis.

“I am my biggest critic…Because I am the 1 who has to go home and look myself in the mirror,” he captioned the song's teaser.

He goes ahead to say that, “The hardest person to convince and gain approval from is me. The voices in my head are louder than any of you muma comments.”

The song comes against a criticism wave following Macky 2’s engagement with PF party as an artist. He recorded and released a political song for PF party which was fronting Edgar Lungu to defend his presidential seat in the Zambian presidential elections.

Unfortunately, Lungu was trounced by the opposition party UPND. Macky insists that criticism over his decision to campaign for PF party is uncalled for because it was just business.

“Music is business, we accept anything that can bring food on the table. The Songs we did for PF was business. We got paid and gave them the return. We are all one Zambia one Nation,” he said.
