Before performing the song, Governor Mutua delivered a speech dedicating the jam to all women in his life.

“I want to take this opportunity to recognise the women who have been in my life, who’ve touched my life in many ways. I start with my mother Agnes Mwikali, my sister, my only sibling Ann Mutua who is here thank you very much, my daughter Ciru Mwikali, her mother Thitu and my eternal beloved Lilian, who is and always will be my good friend from now and forever. And for all the women who’ve come into my life and came into your lives, we want to sing a song dedicated to all of you. I don’t sing but inaitwa malaika,”he said.

Teasing him throughout the performance, Rayvanny could not help but stop the song midway when Mutua echoed the words of Tanzanian musician Adam Salim, who wrote the song in 1945 crying out that money was hurting his heart.

Rayvanny reminded Mutua that contrary to Adam he has no problem with money. “Hapana, Mutua unadanganya pesa sio tatizo kwako, you are lying,” he teased.

A part from the performance, Rayvanny and Mutua also launched Rayvanny’s new song ‘Happy Birthday’ which was later dropped later on Rayvanny’s YouTube channel.

‘Happy Birthday’ is a groovy birthday song in which Rayvanny celebrates the day his mother’s heart was filled with happiness after holding him in her hands.

The jam has been received well and already has over 60,000 views on YouTube, two hours after its premiere.
