Nina Roz Explains Why Money is Not the Most Important Factor in the Music Scene

Ugandan artist Nina Roz has downplayed arguments that money is the most important factor for an artist to be successful in the music industry. Nina Roz is one of the successful female artists in the Ugandan music industry and believes she didn't get where she is entirely depending on money.

At this point where the arts industry is under lockdown, Nina Roz has been consistent when it comes to releasing music. She has had a number of hit projects, some of which have rendered free services for her career to boom just because people believe in her.

"I have people who believe in me. I don't need money to do whatever I'm doing in this industry. I want to encourage all the youths out there to first make friends.

"You have to be organized first but most importantly make friends in life. Don't treat people badly because at the end of it all even if you get successful, you always come back home. Always be humble. Don't disrespect any person you meet during your journey. For example a cameraman who has worked with you can connect you to an events person who can call you for a show," she said.

Nina Roz is currently signed under Black Market Records who she says have been catering for most of her expenses.

"They run my digitals and are part of my management. They do that because I have a contract with them but there's nothing much that I have invested in," Nina Roz said.
