Celebrated Ugandan artist Ragga Dee has out at veteran artist Bobi Wine over his recent remarks terming a section of artists as beggars after they visited the office of Operations Wealth Creation boss seeking for relief funds.

According to Bobi Wine, Ugandan artists have now resorted to surviving at the mercy of the state instead of uniting under one voice and fighting for their rights.

Reacting to Bobi Wine’s remarks, Ragga Dee said the former Presidential candidate should keep off and let artists benefit from the funds.

"Why is Bobi Wine the only artist shouting? We are quite many but it's only him. Why is it that when wealth creation gives other people money, he doesn't argue? he posed.

While firing shots at the former legislator, Ragga Dee claimed Bobi Wine did not fight for artists’ welfare while serving as Member of Parliament.

"The music industry is in a terrible state but why didn't he ever stand up on our behalf when he went to Parliament. We should stick to telling the truths instead of creating divisions. If you spot a person with the potential to help you, I suggest you stick to that person," Ragga Dee said.

Defending their move to seek for relief funds, Ragga Dee noted that Ugandan artists are talented, but they currently lack funds to finance their projects due to the pandemic.

"We have the minds to create good music but we lack resources so it's only right for me to visit the person who can help me out," he opined.
