Rocky Giant Steadily Recovering Months after Checking into Rehab

Celebrated Ugandan Hip-hop artist Rocky Giant has made his first public appearance months after he was checked into rehab for drug abuse.

Last year, a video surfaced online showing Rocky Giant in a dire state. The video caused an uproar online prompting stakeholders to intervene and have him enrolled in a rehab facility. Since then, Rocky Giant has made huge progress health-wise.

Explaining his rehab admission and progress so far, Rocky Giant told journalists that he got into drug abuse due to the pandemic which interfered with the progress of his music career.

"I was under the influence of cocaine accompanied by a lot of stress that brought about a lack of progress in life. Music was not moving and I was close to a point of becoming a misfit. God helped me and my family came through for me before I completely lost it," he said.

He gave an example of fallen legend Master Blaster, Qute Kaye who luckily turned his life around after years of drug abuse.

Rocky Giant promised to get back to music as soon as he was declared fit. He also used the opportunity to caution fellow artists against drug abuse, noting that the consequences are dire.
