Naira Ali's advice comes after she was allegedly conned 500 million UGX as she tried to earn from her music.

"A lot of people came telling me the advantages of uploading music online. In my naivety, I handed them my music accompanied with the money I paid them to help me put my song on their music channels. They lied to me that I would be paid,” he said in part.

He narrated that a big music company approached many Ugandan artists promising to help collect their royalties from all media platforms, only for the company to swindle them.

"I was one of the people that was signed under this particular program and by the time I realized that I could do this myself, it was late. When I tried uploading my music on my channels, it was all copyrighted. They had taken the rights," he said.
