Ziza Bafana Opens up on His Songwriting Process & Where he gets His Lyrics

Ugandan artist Ziza Bafana has opened up on his songwriting process, stating that he does not hire writers to pen down his lyrics.

According to Ziza Bafana, he develops all his lines through interaction with friends after which he get advisors to go through the lines and provide relevant insight.

If his advisors accept his lines, he tries them out with his instruments then makes necessary adjustments to accommodate the sund he wants.

"I just have advisors who come in to comment after I have written. I don't need people writing for me but there are many ways I do it. I usually visit people I know with nice punch lines and I also use different instruments.

"I get these conversations and infuse in these styles we do and come up with the music. I basically build up from what I hear and give you the real meaning through a song," Ziza Bafana revealed.

Ziza Bafana rose to fame in 2011 and being a master of a unique dancehall music genre, many have branded his the King of dancehall and one of the best stage performers in Uganda.
