Renowned Nigerian singer Sound Sultan is dead. 

Sound Sultan, 44 died after battling cancer for a while now, an ailment described as Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma. 

Sound Sultan Diagnosed with Throat Cancer

The announcement was made by his brother who also revealed he passed on Sunday, July 11 2021. 

Recall only a few months ago, news broke that Sound Sultan was diagnosed with throat cancer, a report he reacted to revealing that he would tell the story himself. Sadly the Nigerian music legend lost this battle.

Sound Sultan, famous for his songs, Mother Land, Mathematics, Kokose featuring Wizkid amongst others is survived by two wives, three children and other relatives.
