Sarkodie Explains Why Negative Criticism Does not Move Him

Ghanaian top rapper Sarkodie has given reasons why he has maintained his strength and focus despite many people spreading negative criticism about him.
Speaking during a live Instagram chat with rapper M.I of Nigeria on the Saturday 2nd of May, Ghanaian’s richest rapper Sarkodie (2021) said that he had grown a thick skin over time, which has been helping him to turn a blind eye to the frequent negative criticism that he has been getting from his attackers and haters.
"From the start, I just developed a strategy to critics. I do what I feel. If I feel like it, I'm going to do it, and I have not been proven wrong for a long time, so it's going to be very hard for an article to change my view”, he opined.

According to the father of two, some of his critics criticize him because of making his music mainly in his native Twi language. Nonetheless, the Ghanaian hip-hop musician has maintained his position in the music circle as one of the top hip-hop artists in the country.

In response, M.I also shared the same experience of some critics who have tried to change his work by criticizing him. He, however, has always trusted his heart to guide him. "If you do what your heart tells you to do, at least you can walk away from the game," he stated.
