Roberto Reveals Role Daev Played in his ‘Come Closer’ Collabo with Mohombi

You may have listened to “Come Closer” sang by Roberto featuring Mohombi but what you may not know is that the late Daev was the man behind it all.

Recently, Roberto narrated how the song came to be. ‘Come Closer’ was originally done by Daev and he even released it but he later got in talks with Roberto who bought the song and re-did it.

“Did you know. Roberto has a song with Grammy Award winning artist Mohombi? The song was initially sang and released by Daev (RIP), Daev later sold the song to Roberto,” Roberto said.

Roberto released the audio in 2018 much to the surprise of his fans who did not expect him to have such a beautiful song with one of the finest Congolese-born artistes in the world.

It was the exact version that Daev had done and he simply used his voice to do the same thing. It was amazing.

“…The song is beautiful the vocals well written by the late. Good stuff by the superstar no wonder apart from Chanda mbao Roberto and Sampa the great i don't know another act who can claim international status,” a fan stated.

In 2020, he finally released a new version of the song as a solo artiste without Mohombi in the picture.
