For a while, there has been a fiery debate among Zambian artistes on why they are unable to take their music beyond Zambian borders. It is a conversation that has seen leading artistes in the land point fingers back home saying that they do not get enough support from their people.

Now, Afropop star Roberto says that while Zambian artistes dig further into this debate drawing comparison with Nigeria and South Africa where music goes beyond their borders; Zambia should take lessons and avoid fighting foreign artistes.

In a post on his Facebook page, Roberto said that the secret of taking Zambian music higher is restrategizing without anger to make progress. “Music battle. My observation.., #SouthAfrica & #Nigeria, These guys will continue to thrive, as they have placed themselves in key lucrative positions globally. It's no use fighting them. The strategy is making a mark while they continue to grow. Strategy over anger,” he said.
