Ugandan dancehall artist Cindy Sanyu has opened up on why she chooses to team up with young upcoming artists, stating that it is all about giving them an opportunity to be known.
We have seen Cindy turn down requests to feature big names in the industry in favor of the young artists, and in her defense, Cindy argues that the upcoming artists need her more.
"I want them to be known. I want their songs to be popular. The young artists with talent need me more than the already established ones.
"Terms and Conditions may apply but talent is super important to me. If at all they can cater for my needs during these sessions, we can work together," Cindy said.
Unlike many established musicians who ditch the young artists after recording a song, Cindy notes that she also helps in promoting the collabo since she is a big brand and can help reach more people and thus lead to more viewership.
This year, Cindy has already done one collabo with Gael Will an upcoming artiste in the country.
For you to work with with Cindy, you need to have at least UGX 5 million which she charges as a standard price for collabos.
