Cindy Lists Key Traits Young Artists Require to Succeed in Ugandan Music Industry

Celebrated Ugandan dancehall artiste Cindy Sanyu has shared a piece of advice to young artistes seeking to make it big in the Ugandan music industry.
In a video on her YouTube channel, Cindy noted that the first aspect of a successful career is to have talent.
She argued that those who are not blessed with a spectacular voices tend to struggle, since singing is not their God-given talent.

"Have real talent, If God wants you to succeed as an artist, the very best thing He is going to give you is a voice but if you can't sing, that means you are struggling because you are not supposed to be an artist," Cindy said.
She further noted that practice, hard work and training of the voices are also key to a successful music career.
Cindy advises young artists to record their music, get a writer, and a producer and stick to them in order to get a definite sound associated with you.
On the marketing bit, Cindy appealed to young artists to ensure that they open their own social media accounts. This way, they won’t lose their social media handles should they have a disagreement with their management.
She also encourages young artists to get several people to listen to their music for different opinions.
Above all, she noted that quality, music distribution on the streets and consistent prayer are key to one’s success.
