G.N.L Zamba Explains Why he’s Investing Heavily in Uganda Despite Living Abroad

Veteran luga flow rapper G.N.L Zamba has opened up on why he opted to do his music projects in Uganda rather than the United States where he currently resides with his wife.

The self-proclaimed ghetto storyteller stands out on Uganda’s rap scene for popularizing Luganda Hip-hop with his Baboon Forest label.

G.N.L Zamba came back in Uganda in 2020 and recently announced a couple of projects including a talent search where he is looking for dancers, editors, choreographers, painters, graphic designers, singers, models, actors, poets, rappers, guitarists, drummers, copywriters, talent managers, social media gurus among others.

Many fans have been wondering why he is setting up all these projects in Uganda despite being in the US which has better resources.

In a recent interview, GNL noted that the motive behind the massive investment is to expand his brand at home.

"I'm currently in Uganda enjoying all the beauty of my country. I have visited many places and I'm promoting tourism on another side with my group 'Nsimbi as well as expanding my fan base."

"In New York and Los Angeles, there is a lockdown so there is nothing for me to do down there. There are currently no shows and performances, so I better do my projects here in Uganda, please my fans at home and when the time is right, I will be going back," he told NBS Uncut.
