Tamy Moyo Vows Never to Quit Music

The Covid-19 pandemic threw a lot of Zimbabwean artists off balance, some flirting with the idea of quitting music. However, songstress Tamy Moyo is not just about to hang her musical boots.

While it was a tough year for her musically, she says nothing in the world would make her stay off what delights her most.

“I’d break myself into a thousand pieces before I ever think to give up on what I love to do,” she told her fans in a post on Facebook.

She urged talented souls to always remember that the talents they have in them is on purpose, therefore, they should not disappoint God who gives talents.

“Remember God placed that vision inside you for a reason......Honour It.....Live It.....Breathe It,” Moyo advised.

Tamy Moyo shattered a glass ceiling to make a name for herself as a bubbly female dancehall artiste in Zimbabwe.

While Zimdancehall is a thing in Zimbabwe, she has worked towards bettering her art in dancehall, a unique sound from which Zimdancehall genre was created the early 2000s.

Late last year, she teamed up with reggae sensation Freeman and released a banger titled “If You Love Mi’.

It is a super jam with a blend of voices and beats as well. Her biggest collabo for 2020 was “‘Kuteera’ featuring Jah Prayzah. It makes you fall in love with music from Shonaland. The song garnered more than a million views in record two months.
