Oxlade's 'Oxygen' EP Hits a Million Streams On Boomplay

Nigeria's fast rising singer Oxlade has reached a new milestone in his career after his debut project 'Oxygen' EP hit a million streams on the digital music platform Boomplay.

The EP that houses six tracks has managed to hit the milestone barely a year since it was released.

Oxlade released the EP towards the end of March 2020 and it has been well received by music lovers globally.

Boomplay confirmed the 'Oxygen' EP clocking a million streams on the platform in a post on their official Twitter handle.

"Well deserved numbers for super talented @oxladeofficial!! The #OXYGENE EP has hit a million streams!!" read part of the tweet.

The EP has been rated among the best released by Nigerian singers in 2020 and houses the hit single 'Away' which was listed among the Best 50 Songs of 2020 by Rolling Stone.

'Away' official music video was released in April and has over 2.3 million views on YouTube currently.

Other singles in the EP full of groovy harmonies and smooth vocals are 'O2', 'Hold On', 'Kokose', 'Weakness' and 'Tables Turn'.

Oxlade whose official name is Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman was born ob April 22nd 1997.

He was brought up by his grandmother after losing his mum at an early age and joined Lagos State University (LASU) for two years before dropping out to pursue a career in music.
