Over the past few days, social media has been abuzz with top artists across Africa calling for the release of Nigerian musicians; Omah Lay and Tems who were arrested in Uganda after thet had a show in the capital despite an existing ban.

While most artists noted that it was unfair for Omah Lay and Tems to be punished for the concert, some argued that they should pay the price since no Ugandan artists has been able to perform in the country since mid-march.

“In all our silence, a foreigner had a concert in this country and actually filled up a concert where there was no social distancing, there were no masks and this idiot even posted it online and was very proud about the fact that he had a successful concert in Uganda… I don’t agree with this. It’s not fair, it is not right by any standards that you look at it,” she said.

Following her remarks, fans hit out at her, but she remains unbothered and insists thatOmah Lay shouldn’t have held the concert.

"Nobody has the right to come to my country and encourage the spread of corona no matter who you think you are. People are dying every day and if you have any respect for human life you will stay home or sanitize and wear a mask in a crowded place. May all your curses and evil spells return to you in Jesus name Amen," Cindy posted.
