Ugandan Musicians Protest as Nigerian Artists Omah Lay, Tems Perform in Kampala amid Existing Covid-19 Ban

The decision by Ugandan authorities to allow Nigerian musicians; Omah Lay and Tems to perform in the country, yet local artists have been banned from performing has not augured well with the latter.
A section of artists on Sunday condemned the government for ordering them to stay at home, but allow foreign artists to stage shows in Uganda, yet the government knows that local artists rely on performances for income.

The musicians noted that they have been struggling to survive, adding that such a move by government is demeaning to local artists.
