WCB artists; Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz are now at the center of another copyright controversy over an idea for their ‘Litwachoma’ video that was released earlier this week.

Zuchu dropped the video two days ago it has been viewed over 1.2 million times on YouTube.

However, an American comedian identified as Kevon has claimed that in one of the scenes, Diamond used an idea of a Nigerian online comic Toben.

Toben is a Nigerian comedian based in the United States who leverages social media to reach his audience.

In an online post, Kevon stated it was hypocritical of Diamond to use the Toben scene and not give him direct credit.

He called on him to pull down the video. “Sir I’m gonna need you to delete that since there is a lot of time,” Kevon rants.

Interestingly, in an Instagram post Toben stated that he does not mind Diamond using his idea. He hailed Diamond for taking Tanzanian music to the world.

“Man s/o to @diamondplatnumz & @officialzuchu the movement is moving all the way in Tanzania #THISwasMINTtoBE,” posted Toben.

The allegations by Kevon come barely a week after the ‘Cheche’ video by Diamond and Zuchu was pulled down from YouTube over copyright claims.

It later emerged that the claims were false.
