FRESH NEW MUSIC: This could be the collaboration of the year!!

In order to speak about all and to all, one has to speak of what all know and of the reality common to us all. The sea, rains, necessity, desire, the struggle against death... these are things that unite us all.
Two Kenyan bands seem to breathe this notion more than anyone else- KIU and Sarabi. Female trio Rosa, Pauline and Tracy who make up KIU have collaborated with boy-band Sarabi on their latest single, ‘It Has To Be Now’.
Speaking to KIU, we got to dive deeper into this outstanding music piece and see what inspired it: “This song focuses on issues that affect women in the society. From maternity care, society stigma towards women, health care and how some religions corrupt minds of women and prevent them from accessing better medical attention when giving birth. Apart from highlighting the issues we also say ought to be done”

“We decided to work with Sarabi because we had previous musical experiences together at “The Experience” and because we also friends before the music. So besides the fact that they are tremendous artists I can say it was about time we worked together” added Rosa.
These are matters that affect the society and we all know but choose to turn a blind eye. Well, not anymore! These two power houses have decided to educate the society and what better way than through music?
