Weekend Recap; TRACE Live Edition
8 June 2020
by Kabura Ng'ang'a
A lot happened over the weekend and the whole world is still enjoying virtual concerts and to recap what went down for us, Trace Live happened.
To kick start the weekend, the team brought us the OG, Khaligraph Jones. Khaligraph had his crew; his DJ, his background vocalist and a full band ready. He performed live backed by either DJ Zj Heno or his full band or both elements simultaneously. Khaligraph had a great set for the night; we watched him slow it down, we watched him go full beast mode on delivery and we also watched him in his feel good element for close to 2 hours. Khaligraph brought out Masauti for a performance of their hit single ‘Kiboko’. To close off his electric live, Khaligraph took the time to remind us that he is the king of Hip-Hop in Africa.
To close off the weekend, Trace Live gave us a worship experience courtesy of Eunice Njeri and Evelyn Wanjiru. This comes a little after these queens released a duet worship song. Their set began with Evelyn Wanjiru performing a couple of her singles then Eunice Njeri came on to perform her singles and occasionally leading people in prayer mid-transition. They were both backed by a live band and background vocalists. They ended their live with a joint performance of their new single, ‘Worthy’.

Both these lives can be found on the TRACE YouTube page; relive your weekend if you will.
