Biography.:
Raila Odinga was born on January 7, 1945, in Maseno, Kisumu County, Kenya. He is the son of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, who was a prominent Kenyan politician and the first Vice President of Kenya. Raila Odinga attended the University of East Africa, where he obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also pursued further studies in Germany and the United States.

Raila Odinga is married to Ida Odinga, and the couple has four children. One of his children, Rosemary Odinga, is a politician and activist.
