KENYA: How the Mighty Have Fallen, Tanzanian Singer Ray C Arrested After Alleged Suicide Attempt [VIDEO]

Tanzanian legendary songbird Ray C was on Thurday night taken into Police custody in Kinondoni Manyanya area in Dar es Salaam after an alleged suicide attempt.
The singer captured the attention of passersby when she was in the middle of the road throwing a fit, asking to be protected from people who were following her and wanted to kidnap her.
It is then that things took a turn for the worse when she asked for a knife so that she could take her own life.
Tanzanian actress Esha Buheti who witnessed the incident however claims that nobody was after Ray C and that they were all illusions from apparent drug use.
The actress later took to Instagram where she shared the events that took place saying she thought that the reports that Ray C had relapsed after leaving rehab were all false but she was heart-broken after witnessing it firsthand.
She writes that she witnessed the events when she was on her way to buy chips when she heard someone say Ray C had threatened to strip.
People nearby got a hold of her but she broke free of them and started looking for a knife to commit suicide. Later the police arrived and picked her up.

Ray C’s star shone brightest in the early 2000s but faded shortly after when she started abusing drugs. The singer has been fighting a losing battle with her drug addiction since 2012 and has been in and out of rehab since.
