Rapper Lil Wayne Hospitalized After Suffering Two Seizures Mid-Flight

News came in this morning that rapper Lil Wayne had been hospitalized after suffering two minor seizures mid-flight forcing his private jet to make an emergency landing.

According to a TMZ report, Wayne was en-route from Milwaukee to California when he blacked out from an apparent seizure.

Furthermore the rapper is alleged to have refused treatment from paramedics when they arrived at the airport.

The plane took off, but was forced to return when Wayne suffered a second seizure and was taken to CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center.

Footage recorded by American media, Omaha TV station KETV, showed paramedics carrying a person on a stretcher from a plane to an ambulance.

"Under the guidance of his own doctors, he is now in stable condition and good spirits. He thanks his fans for their everlasting support, prayers and well wishes," the rapper’s spokesman Derek Sherron said in a statement.

Seizures however are not a strange happening in Lil Wayne’s life. Back in 2013, the rapper was hospitalized several times after suffering from seizures believed to be brought on by drinking "sizzurp," a drink that combines soda with prescription cough syrup.

He however claimed that he’d been suffering from an epilepsy that was diagnosed in his childhood.

"This wasn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh ... I have had a bunch of seizures, you just never hear about them," he told Power 106's DJ Felli Fel at the time.

Wayne singer is scheduled to appear in concert Saturday in Kansas City, Mo.
