KENYA: Fans Turn on Rapper Colonel Mustafa After He Reveals Singer Marya Cheated on Him

Rapper Colonel Mustafa is not very popular among some of his fans this week. This is after a very intimate confession about his relationship with his ex and singer Marya backfired.

Mustafa took to social media to reveal to the world the real reason why he had to call his relationship with the singer quits revealing that he had to leave after she cheated.

Prior to his confession many rumors had swirled as to why the once ‘Showbiz’s favorite couple’ broke up, from religious differences (with Mustafa being Muslim and Marya Christian) to rumors that it was Mustafa that cheated.

All the while the two had remained quiet, until two days when Mustafa took to social media to confess.

“Everybody has been trying to find out actually about what happened between me and my ex and I have been silent over the matter. Already people have had their speculation on what happened,” he began his post.

“A lot of people said, 'Man, he cheated.' But our relationship had nothing to do with me cheating. She cheated and I couldn’t actually forgive her,” he added.

“As a man, you want to make decisions for your family, and sometimes the lady doesn't see what you see the sacrifice and commitment you have in the relationship. I called the engagement off long before any cheating rumors came out. I was like, this wasn’t going to work,” he concluded.

However for some of his fans, they did not take kindly to Mustafa’s words’

One fan Albert Ojiambo wrote back calling him too Americanized and alleging that he is all but faking the whole story.
