KENYA: Alikiba Shocks the World After Endorsing Rival Diamond Platinumz for the BET Awards

For a long time there has been bad blood between two of Tanzania’s best exports Alikiba and Diamond Platinumz. Despite their immense talent, the two could never get a long together and therefore any hopes Bongo music fans had for them working together was nothing short of fantasy.

Things however seem to have changed between the two in recent times. Earlier in the year it was reported that Diamond was seen at a club dancing to Alikiba’s it song Mwana. When asked about this Kiba dismissed the notion of there ever being bad blood between them.

And recently things took an even more interesting turn when the Aje hit maker put his weight behind Diamond, who was recently nominated for a BET Award, by asking all his fans to vote for him. Kiba was speaking on EATV’s Planet Bongo.

Earlier this year Kiba was quoted saying there was no beef between him and Diamond and that he was ready and willing to get in a studio with him.

“Diamond is a good artist. He does good songs .If an opportunity to record a collabo with Diamond comes up, I will take part in it. I will do that with a clean heart’’ Ali Kiba told Clouds FM presenter Gardner G. Habash ‘Captain’.

As to whether we’ll get to see the two working together, I suppose now especially after Alikiba’s signing with Sony Music Entertainment Africa, it could just be a matter of days if not months.
