NIGERIA: Mavin Records First Lady Tiwa Savage Signs for Jay Z's Roc Nation

As they say, when one door closes another one opens, and this saying couldn’t be any truer for Tiwa Savage’s case.

The singer who just recently was a trending topic all over Africa, unfortunately not for the right reasons thanks to her manager-husband airing their marital problems to the whole world, albeit they were all lies according to Tiwa.

But now after severing ties with her husband Tunji "Tee Billz" Balogun, new and exciting doors seem to have opened for her after it was recently revealed that she is set to sign a deal with legendary Hiphop artist Jay Z’s Roc Nation.

According to the report by UrbanView, the deal will not exactly see Tiwa depart from Mavin Records for the Roc, but it instead will be an international management deal which is said to already be in place.

Sources close to the deal reported that Roc Nation’s Briant Biggs and Shawn Pecas after Jay Z was much impressed with Tiwa’s catalogue and profile and gave the green light for her signing on May 24, 2016.

Tiwa Savage is scheduled to perform at the ‘Made in America’ concert in September, 2016 featuring headliner Rihanna but don’t be surprised if a couple of things possibly collaborations happen before that.

The deal also opens doors for Tiwa to work with Roc Nation signed sensations the likes of Rihanna herself, J Cole, Big Sean, Shakira, Calvin Harris, prolific producer DJ Mustard, Alicia Keys and many more.
