KENYA: Sauti Sol and Yemi Alade Make Yet Another Beautiful Musical Baby

A few months ago Nigerian star Yemi Alade had flown into the country with the intentions off shooting a new video which would feature Kenya’s very own Sauti Sol.
Photos that leaked had fans brimming with excitement and expectations were quite high as Nigeria’s top female artists and Kenya’s biggest superstars were gearing up to make a musical baby.
The last time they worked together was during the Coke Studio Season 3 which was basically a mash up of two of their songs Shake Yo Bam Bam (by Sauti Sol) and Temperature (by Yemi Alade), which was arguably the best mash ups from that season and along the way Yemi and Sauti Sol got close and I suppose from then it was only a matter of time until they made an original song together.
The original song would be titled Africa and it would be included in Yemi’s new album Mama Africa, which is already out and among the top albums on itunes Nigeria.
And though the music video may not be out, the audio for the song might just give as clue as to what to expect from the video. No doubt it will be quite inspirational and full of inspiring images from across Africa.
