NIGERIA: Wizkid and 'Classic Man' Jidenna Working on Surprise Collaboration

Nigerian pop star Wizkid and fast rising American star Jidenna have both confirmed that they are working on a new joint together.

Last week Wizkid took to social media to alert the world of his upcoming collabo with Classic Man hit maker Jidenna, who also has some Nigerian roots (on his father’s side).

The Starboy singer who is currently on a break from his international tours, has been spotted in studio with Jidenna in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.

Speaking to Raro Lae late last year, Jidenna revealed that he was looking to work with a few artists from his ‘father-land’ among them Wizkid.

He was also in an interview with Billboard recently when he heaped praise on the Nigerian star and his production team as well.

“I love his voice, I love his production team. I was just hanging out with them recently.

“I’m looking forward to what’s to come, and I love his catalog already," He added

Jidenna and Wizkid performed on stage at the African Festival back in July 2015. The singer further reveled that he is influenced by Nigeria’s Highlife music which is the first music he ever listened to as a child.

Wizkid’s tour is set to kick off again in a couple of days where he’ll be visiting Cameroon, Malaysia, Freetown, Zambia and more.
