KENYA: Host of Industry Heavy Weights Set to Perform as Industry Nite Celebrates 2nd Anniversary
4 March 2016

Industry Nite is marking two years since its inception in a grand celebration this March. On Saturday 5th March 2016, Industry Nite returns at Ebony Lounge – Westlands in a big way as several Kenyan artistes come together to pay tribute to our industry’s greats. This follows Navio's successful album launch at Industry Nite February edition.
As Industry Nite marks two years, the March event theme will be celebrating the lives and music from K-Rupt and E-Sir – legendary artistes who are always remembered as Kenya’s pioneers of urban pop music. Performing K-Rupt tributes at event will include Vivian, Bien of Sauti Sol, Gkon, Dan Aceda, Jemedari, Habib, Big Pin, Kenzo and Calvo Mistari.
Artists performing E-Sir tributes will include Talia, Habib, Big Pin and Prezzo. DJs will include DJ Bash, DJ Creme, DJ Authentic and DJ Biggy. Opening acts will include Rankaddah, Bubbah and Just Imagine Band, among others.
Industry Nite Mcee and Event Manager Sheila Kwamboka says, “I had always wanted to see in Kenya a platform that promotes and encourages a higher level of Kenyan performances. Industry Nite means a lot to me because I have seen new talent emerge from that stage. It has also become a platform for music industry stakeholders to network. Artists, producers, dancers, actors, comedians, managers, agents and dancers et al … It is open to the public and if it wasn't for the fans who keep coming back, we wouldn't be here. It is rewarding to see the growth of the platform and we can only get bigger.”
