KENYA: How to Make Money From Your Selfies, Yes it's Possible #NEVERMISSAMOMENT
3 March 2016

Selfies. You’re either in love with them or just love to hate them. Myself I’m torn in this whole issue, on one hand I find it quite annoying nowadays that people can just stop in the middle of the street and pop out their smartphones or even more annoying selfie-sticks for a quick selfie.
On the other hand though, selfies are a great way to record your best moments or accomplishments and for that reason I absolutely love them. However you’ll never find me taking selfies in the middle of the street for no reason like most people do, but that may soon change after what I just learned a few days ago.
Imagine these selfies were not just pointless, imagine you could make money and I mean a lot of money of your selfies? Now stop imagining because what I’m telling you is not fiction but a reality and how glorious it is.
Being paid to do nothing, who knew this day would come. There is a God after all!

How can you do this? Well there are several companies and services coming up that will allow any old Joe to make money from their selfies.
One such company is Netflix. You know Netflix, right. The biggest movies streaming service in the world, has partnered with Instagram, where the selfie was born and will be paying candidates thousands of dollars to travel the world and take pictures of some of the landscapes from some of their original movies and series like ‘Sense 8’, which luckily we have some of the scenes from that series right here in Kenya.
It’s called the ‘Grammasters’ program and while it is not going to be a fulltime job, who can turn down an opportunity to travel to Europe and the Middle East.
According to the job description Netflix will pay you $4,000 for the job that will last two weeks and what you need to do is follow @Netflix on Instagram and tag three of your best photos with #grammasters3 by March 6th.
So get practicing people, take as much photos as you can and upload them to your Instagram profiles, I know I will.
But then we understand that Instagram can be quite an expensive affair and that 30MB bundle will not last forever. However trust Safaricom to swoop in and save the day.

We all know Safaricom have the fastest and most reliable internet around plus thanks to the new data bundle roll-over feature, you can now stay online for longer.
If your bundle is about to finish you can extend the validity of your data bundles by simply buying another data bundle package (it has to be the same) before the old one expires.
For example, if you bought a 7 day, 30 day or 90 day bundle and it is about to expire, all you need to do is buy a data bundle package of the same type (if you had a 7 day bundle buy another 7 day bundle) and the remaining data will be carried over to your new bundle.
So you can never miss a moment on the Safaricom network.
