KENYA: Kenyan Record Label Beat Ya Keggah Becomes the First to Sign Popular International Artist

At this rate the whole of the Jamaican artist fraternity might as well relocate to Kenya. After popular Jamaican band Morgan Heritage relocated to Kenya, yet another popular Jamaican artist is looking to form close ties with Kenya.

Yesterday top Kenyan producer Keggah of Beat Ya Keggah announced that ‘All of me’ hit maker Jah Cure had officially joined the BYK family.

Keggah who has worked with pretty much all the biggest names in the Kenyan industry seems to be stretching his sights even further into the International scene.

This comes a week after the record label announced that it would be adding a sign language translation to all its videos in order to reach even the hearing impaired.

Now the question that’s left is whether Jah Cure is just one of few who will be joining the label or whether this is just an experiment to test the waters.
