KENYA: DJ Kaytrixx Announces His Intentions For Political Seat in Mombasa County

DJ Kaytrixx is perhaps one of the most popular disc jockies in town with his music mixes being heard on the most popular radio and TV stations as well as matatus all over.

Now from taking over the airwaves, this disc jockey’s dreams are stretching beyond the turntables to a political seat.

This comes after he made the announcement on Friday 19^th, February on social media that he would run for the position of MCA of Mikindani Ward, Mombasa County in the 2017 General Elections.

“Kupiga Kura Ni haki yako. Jisajili wakati huu Ndio uweze kumchagua candidate anayekurudhisha kwa sera zake Na atakayeleta manufaa kwa jamii. Kura yako, Sauti yako,” he wrote urging voters to register and vote for their favorable candidate.

And though it is not clear whether he'll be running for the seat or not, when reached for comment he revealed that he was setting his financial affairs in order before makeing the official announcement.
