KENYA: 5 Types of People You Will Meet On the Internet, Number 3 Is a Must Read
21 February 2016
The World can be a strange place, full of weird, frightening and sometimes fun people. But as much as the World is strange, the internet is on a whole different league of strange.
And just like the real world it is composed of different characters and if you have a keen eye you can identify them from their behaviors.
Today we look at the different characters that you’ll find on the internet and perhaps by the end of it all you might just be able to identify which one you are.
The Catfish

SURPRISE! The girl you’ve been talking to online for years is actually a guy.
But don’t you worry almost half the people on the internet are pretenders. Most of us are not half as confident in real life as we are in the internet.
There’s just something about the anonymity the internet offers that brings out our inner self (or our inner demons).
The Grammar Nazi

Aaaah! The know-it-alls of the internet world. If you get in an argument with them, they will use every typo you’ve ever made against you to prove that they are intellectually superior to you, and therefore they are right and you are wrong, because no one who’s ever made a typo has ever been right about anything.
The Drama Queen

Or just your average day to day socialite. This is the person that’s always taking their real life problems to the internet (or in other words, social media).
From fighting with their boyfriends, a soul-crushing boss, or just regular nail polish problems, and that’s just Monday. They treat their social media friends like their personal psychologist who magically has the answers to solving all their dirty laundry.
Mr. Clueless

The guy on your Whatsapp group who always seems to be on a different wavelength from everyone else, always forwarding last week’s funny old posts to the group.
And then there are Actual Regular People Who Share the Same Interests as You
Your friends.
And thus the ecosystem that makes up the internet. You’ve probably already met half of these people, they are the ones that make the internet such a fun place to be.
But let’s face it however fun it is, it can be expensive to maintain your other life on the internet and it is a fast moving world where it feels like you’ve missed half a year when in reality you only went to the shop to purchase more credit.
However with Safaricom’s new data bundle roll-over feature, you can now live a long happy life on the internet.
You can extend the validity of your data bundles by simply buying another data bundle package (it has to be the same) before the old one expires.
For example, if you bought a 7 day, 30 day or 90 day bundle and it is about to expire, all you need to do is buy a data bundle package of the same type (if you had a 7 day bundle buy another 7 day bundle) and the remaining data will be carried over to your new bundle.
