KENYA: #TBT Track: Commemoration 10 Years Since His Disappearance 'Amka Ukatike' by Czars
11 February 2016

Well there are one hit wonders and then we have Czars. As some of us continue to usher in the year 2016, this year now marks a decade since the teenage singing sensation Czars disappeared without a trace.
His name roared throughout the music industry in the early 2000s when he released his breakout tune ‘Amka Ukatike’ which according to me still remains one of the best tracks to come out of Calif Records.
To this day the truth about where Czars went, why and where he is now (whether he’s alive) remains a mystery.
Many theories have circulated the interwebs over the years some claiming he took off with an older woman (a sugar-mummy) while others claiming he could not stand the pressures of the KCSE exams (he was a 2006 candidate) so he ran away.
However three years ago, Radio Citizen present Willy M Tuva spoke to Czars’ father who narrated the story of his disappearance.
According to his father Czars had just come back home excited after KCSE rehearsals changed out of his school uniform and left the house to visit a friend. That was the last they saw of him but to this day the family hope their son is alive and they are still willing to welcome him home.
Today we commemorate the teenage sensation Czars and his amazing hit song ‘Amka Ukatike’. Check it out;
