KENYA: Top Kenyan Producer Accusses Gospel Artists of Stealing His Groove Award
8 February 2016

Jacky B’s Groove Award has recently been stolen from his studios.
According to the award-winning producers, he suspects that one of the many gospel artists that come to record at his studio may have made away with Producer of The Year Award he received at the Groove Awards.
According to ‘Word Is’ who caught wind of the story, the producer made the announcement on Facebook saying that some gospel may have taken the said awards during their studio visits at Tamu Sana Records. The post was then later deleted after he got calls from gospel artists.
In a press statement, Jacky B says the trophy went missing from his studio sometime last year but didn’t make an issue.
“I recently refurbished the place and after turning the whole place upside down I can reliably say it was stolen,” Jacky B said. "It is quite absurd as most of the artistes I produce are gospel artistes, most of whom are born again. For them to steal that trophy would be betrayal to what we believe in as Christians.”
But what can we say, another day another scandal in the gospel industry. We’re getting used to it now.
