KENYA: Alicia Keys Set to Visit Kenya?

Word on the wire is American pop star Alicia Keys is coming to Kenya but perhaps not for the reason you think.

However this will not be the first time the ‘Girl on Fire’ singer is coming to the country. Ten years ago she was here visiting a pediatric HIV clinic in Mombasa which she is a benefactor of through charity organization ‘Keep a Child Alive’. The clinic now provides hundreds of children in the programme with free anti-retroviral drugs.

During her last trip she also unveiled a commemorative plaque, planted a tree and address the local community at the Bomu Medical Clinic which is at the Coast Provincial Hospital.

News about her upcoming visit was leaked by The Star’s ‘Word Is’ who write that their source who remained unnamed claimed "There is an advance crew that has been sent to survey the various sites she will be visiting and report back."

However what is not sure is whether she’ll be visiting as a ‘Keep a Child Alive’ ambassador or for other business.
