Bobby Mapesa opens up about his hiatus from music and shares his year plan

Bobby Mapesa is most certainly no stranger to any local music fan out there having made his mark felt in the music industry a few years back through his lyrics and distinct flow releasing several hit singles such as ‘Naskia Utam’, ‘Kamoja Tu’ ‘Chali wa Nai’ and several others.

For a while now there have been several claims of his comeback to the music scene but it seems that this year for sure he is determined to make his long awaited comeback.

During an interview this evening on Citizen Radio with Mzazi Willy M Tuva, Bobby opened up about the reasons he has been away from the music scene,

“I have been In school studying graphic design and it’s for this reason that I took a break off music, education to me is important and particularly graphic design since for the longest time I have always loved art, and I used to do a lot of designs even when I was in music so hizi makaratasi ndio nimeenda kupata sasa”

Bobby also shared his year plans revealing that he will launch an album this year, “My album titled Black and White will be dropping this year so I think my fans should watch out for that it will feature Calvo Mistari and several other guys”

He has currently featured on Calvo Mistari’s new single ‘Umenimaliza’ and he is also set to feature on Pizo Dizo’s Chali Stinji remix.
