KENYA: Sauti Sol, Fena and Jay A Set to Feature in African Hiphop Documentary to Air in America

Sauti Sol, Fena Gitu and Jay A are all big names in Kenya’s music industry and they are about to get bigger as they are set to be featured on an upcoming African hiphop documentary titled Afrikan Politics And Music.

The documentary will be directed by American filmmaker Taalib Saber who traveled around Africa to tell a different story about the continent, one of urban trends, politics and the youth.

The documentary is described as one aimed at creating a platform to showcase the similarities between Africans and Africans in the Diaspora through law, politics and entertainment.

This is currently lacking within the media industry and we believe that it is important to build and maintain a sense of pan-africanism for the advancement of African people.

The first segment of Afro-Hop in Ghana featured M.anifest, Reggie Rockstone, J-Town, and other artists as well as political groups as they discussed the current state of Ghana
