26 January 2016

While many artists in the music industry are feeling the pinch in terms of royalties, gospel artist Papa Denis seems to be uninterested in joining the ‘royalties fight’ seeing as he is currently shooting a video that is said to set him back Sh.2 million.
The video was shot at the Sarakasi Dome this past Saturday and was directed by an international producer. It is also said it will feature a number of prominent personalities.
Yesterday Papa Denis took to social media to let his fans in on the action. He revealed that the song is dubbed ‘Miujiza’ and will pay respect to the fallen KDF soldiers.
“This week I shot a video for my new single miujiza.i used combat to honour our fallen KDF soldiers.A MINUTE OF SILENCE.may their souls rest in eternal peace,” he wrote.
Speaking to the Standard’s Monday Blues, the artist’s manager Sadat Muhindi revealed that they spared no cost on the new video as they are planning a big year ahead.
"This is going to be a big year for us and that is why we have taken off on a high note. As we have always done, we are putting a lot of investment in the new video," he said.
"In February, we will be in the United States recording a number of songs with some prominent gospel singers. We also have a number of projects across Europe and that means we will be away for a number of months," he added
