KENYA: Bomet County Governor Leads Mourners in Bidding Farewell to Late Kalenjin Singer Diana 'Chelele'

The sudden death of one of the most prominent Kalenjin artists, Diana Chemutai Musila popularly known as Chelele, came as a shock to many. But what was even more shocking was her last words recorded in an audio implicating her husband in her killing.

And now after the massive scandal that followed her death, thousands including political leaders flocked the Bomet Green Stadium yesterday to bid farewell to the late singer.

Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto was in attendance assured mourners that police were working with the government to deliver swift justice to the deceased and her bereaved.

The Governor said all the money collected during Diana Chelele’s burial will be used in her daughters’ upkeep.
