KENYA: Jamaican Hit-maker Pays Tribute to Fallen KDF Soldiers in a Special Way

There’s no doubt the connection between Jamaica and Kenya. And Jamaican artists who’ve visited our country have frequently said it’s like home, just ask Morgan Heritage.

Kenyans have been once again taken by the actions of Jamaican songstress Alaine after she paid tribute to the fallen KDF soldiers of the recent Al Shabaab attack on a KDF Camp in Somalia.

The singer was last in the country in 2014 and many Kenyans fell in love with her down to earth personality and she also obviously fell in love with Kenyans seeing as her song ‘Wafula’ is inspired by Kenya.

Now more than a year after her last visit to the country and Alaine has shown Kenyans that despite the distance her heart is still with us.

She’s become the first international artist to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers of the KDF and has sent her condolonces to the families of those that lost loved ones.

Her message was simple, “God bless Kenya. Condolences to all the families directly affected by this atrocity. #Restinpeaceandlove #KDF #salutetoallthefallensoldiers #63isnotjustanumber #weareone.”
