KENYA: The Only Place Jazz Lovers Need to Be This Month of Love

Jazz lovers in Kenya know that the annual ‘An Evening of Afro Jazz’ is one of the few great authentic Jazz concerts around town, but this year it’s a bit more special.

This year’s edition of ‘An Evening of Afro Jazz’ has been tailored for lovers and when better to hold it than on the month of love, February 5th to be exact at the Alliance Francaise.

Organizers of the event have partnered with Cold Stone Creamery, which has since last year become very popular among young couples in Nairobi.

And with this partnership is one sweet deal. Once you buy the tickets you get a free tab of the delicious Cold Stone ice cream of your choice.

Speaking to Word Is, Ricky Nanjero one of the organizers and artists performing at the event said "This show is a lover’s edition, time to have a good time with your loved ones. In addition to the ice cream deal, the cherry on top is the unique line up of artistes set to perform on the day.

The lineup of artist performing on the night will include Prisca Ojwang, Annah Kalahi, Le Band, Halisi the Band and Ricky na Marafiki. Tickets go on sale at the door for Sh1000 or at Rupu for Sh800.
