KENYA: A Heartbroken Habida Sings About Moving on in New Video 'Keep on Walking'

There’s no doubting the talent songstress Habida has. She burst onto the scene with her first song ‘Sunshine’ which was a collaboration with Nameless.
Since then she went on to do many more collaborations with artists like Canibal among others and also proved that she can deliver with some singles of her own.
Habida has a unique voice and the beauty to match it. In fact I might be as bold as to liken her to J-Lo, not for her behind though but for her style of music and of course her magical voice.
But 2015 was the year Habida’s name was more synonymous with controversy than for her music following allegations that she had extra marital relations with ‘Mali’ actor, Nouhom Cheick Kone.
The news broke on Ghafla and soon spiraled out of control into other news sources but of course there was no concrete evidence other than the accounts of the actor’s jilted girlfriend of 7 years.
Since the news, Habida maintained deep silence and did not respond to the rumors. However her recently released single ‘Keep on Walking’ seems to speak volumes on perhaps what transpired.
She sings about being heartbroken and moving on. And though you could say it is completely unrelated to what happened then, we all know artistes draw inspiration from their daily lives, well most of the time.
All in all whether it is related or unrelated, ‘Keep on Walking’ is a truly inspirational song and perhaps a reflection on what more to expect from the singer.
