KENYA: The 5 Biggest Scandals of the Music Industry in 2015 (PART 1)

2015 was an eventful year for the music industry one filled with scandal after scandal till the very last month of the year.

And in the spirit of Flashback Fridays, we take you back to the past to reminisce on some of the biggest celebrity scandals that hit the music industry in 2015.

Rose Muhando Terminates Her Pregnancy

And what was it with celebrities and abortions in 2015. It was a story that made headlines on all local blogs and the Gospel artist even appeared on many talk shows because of it.

Yes, Rose Muhando procured an abortion, but as it was revealed later after weeks of her name being dragged through the mud, it was done to save her life.

Willy Paul Forces ‘Girlfriend’ to Abort

Scandal is probably Willy Paul’s middle name and no one could use an Olivia Pope in his life more than he does. Too bad we have no fixers in town when to solve his problems.

Back in September a 19 year old girl, Charlene Leila, claimed to be Willy’s girlfriend and accused the Gospel singer of impregnating her and forcing her to have an abortion.

But as always Willy Paul rubbished these claims saying it was a fabrication by his enemies to tarnish his image and stall his progress.

Octopizzo’s ‘This Could Be Us’ Scandal

It was meant to be one of Octopizzo’s biggest collaborations of his career yet but things didn’t go quite as planned.

The ‘Namba Nane’ rapper had even gone to some radio stations promoting his new upcoming joint ‘This Could be Us’ featuring one of America’s hottest RnB stars, August Alsina and we’d even heard a snippet of the track months in advance (it did sound like August Alsina).

But soon after Octo released the video, questions arose top among them, ‘Where is Alsina?’. The RnB star did not even make an appearance in the video but still the video managed to trend online and that’s when everything begun to crumble.

August Alsina’s management replied through Twitter that not only had their artiste never worked with the Kibera rapper, they’d never even heard of him.

And what did Octo do, he went on YouTube and changed up the song title from Octopizzo ft. August Alsina to just feature August (right now the name August doesn’t even appear on the title).

To this day we still don’t know which August that is but this no doubt goes down as one of the most embarrassing moment for the rapper.
